Dental X-rays — common questions
Are dental x-rays safe?
Yes. We use modern digital x-rays, which use a very low dose of radiation — far less than older film x-rays. We only take them when they will genuinely help your diagnosis.
Why do I need a dental x-ray?
X-rays let us see between and inside teeth, check the roots and jawbone, and spot problems like hidden decay or infection early — things a visual exam alone can miss.

Insurance, SHA and payment
SHA (Social Health Authority) is accepted for eligible schemes and covered treatments, depending on your cover. Celestial Dental also bills more than 20 insurers directly, including Jubilee, AAR, Madison, CIC, Britam, APA, GA, Heritage, First Assurance, Minet and Equity Bank Insurance. M-Pesa and cash are accepted at every branch. Bring your insurance card or SHA details and the front desk will handle pre-authorisation. See insurance and SHA coverage.
